The morning turned out to be hot and humid and with many of the club’s female contingent playing in the Grahamstown Open at Belmont and many other players out of town, just 11 players turned up to be divided into three covies to play the usual 2-to-count Stableford alliance sponsored by Fishaways.

Heather van Harmelen, Barrie Brady, Philip van der Byl and Terry Harris were triumphant after carding 87 points. Eric Siegers, Kevin Maree, Tim and Greg Shanks came home second with 84 points. Guy Cash, Gaby and Danny Tarpani had the longest walk of the morning with a lowly 68 + 5 = 73 points.

There were no outstanding individual rounds, the best being Barrie Brady’s net 71. Philip van der Byl holed the only 2-club of the morning (11th).

Greg Shanks won the RPAGC’s bottle of wine for being closest to the pin on the 8th.
